Volunteer Opportunities

Our Club needs the support of local community volunteers who like to work with young people or work on their behalf. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and have a variety of backgrounds and work experiences.

Volunteering at our Club can be a very pleasing experience for both the volunteer and the youth they serve. The work can sometimes be challenging but it is never boring and every volunteer day may be different but that's what makes volunteering so much fun and rewarding.

Volunteers may work directly with Club members or on behalf of Club members by:

Serving on your local community Club Advisory Committee. Click Here for Application

Tutoring at the Club
Teaching computer classes, fine art classes or joining Club members for sports or indoor game room activities
Activities directed especially to the "girls" of the Club such as dance, sewing, doll making, etc.
Helping with special events and fundraisers. Check the Club calendar for upcoming events
Joining the staff to help oversee Club members while on field trips

Donations

As a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization we rely on the generosity of contributions from individuals, corporations, and organizations to provide the funding required to keep the Club doors open and provide quality programs and services to Club members. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Denton County is an independently chartered organization that is responsible for raising the money needed to operate each of our club sites.

Other Ways to Help

Have your Company, Church or organization hold a fundraiser benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs
Designate your Denton County Juror fees to come to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Denton County
Write in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Denton County as your United Way designated agency
If your company has a grant program, let the Club management know and provide us with a contact name and address
If your company has a grant program that requires an invitation to apply from an employee, be that employee or get someone at the appropriate level to extend the application invitation
Use Microsoft Search as your search engine and the Club receives a donation from Microsoft
If your company has a matching gift program, consider making a donation to the Club through their matching gift program to double your donation. Consider asking other employees to do the same thing
Talk to your fellow employees, neighbors, business associations and friends about the good work the Club is doing and ask them to identify us as their philantrophic choice in the coming year
Help the Club offset operating expenses by providing inkind services, supplies & equipment
Help increase awareness of the work done by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Denton County
Host a Party of Hope in your home for a few friends and family where the Club President or Chairman of the Board will provide a brief presentation about the organization
Provide a speaking opportunity for a Club representative at your organization, church, etc.
